HAI PHONG (VNS)— Improving technology for Viet Nam’s marine economy was highlighted at a two-day forum in coastal northern Hai Phong City that ended on Tuesday.
About 300 participants, including domestic and foreign researchers, officials from 28 coastal provinces and cities, and foreign businesses assessed opportunities to develop the nation’s sea-based economy.
According to the General Department of Vietnamese Sea and Islands, Viet Nam’s 2020 Marine Strategy is aimed at enabling the nation at becoming a strong and rich sea-based nation by 2020 in line with its historic position.-VNS
