Foreship together with its partner Visec ( Vietnam ) has developed a series of extremely fuel efficient CSR bulk carriers, called “Sea Dragon”.
The series includes 35 kdwt (daily consumption 17.2 t/d), 42 kdwt (18.8 t/d), 56 kdwt (23.3 t/d) and 64 kdwt (26.9 t/d) versions. A fuel consumption reduction of 15-30 % compared to current designs is achieved by application of state-of-the-art CFD methods in hull form development and propulsion improvement device design and profound integration of latest engine technology into the propulsion concept to ensure the engine full capacity is utilized.
