The passenger vessel – K003 project

A steel cutting ceremony to signify the commencement of the construction of the passenger ferry for Hai Phong city was held at Bach Dang shipyard in Hai Phong, date 25th Feb’13

The contract was signed in Nov 2012 between VISEC and People’s committee of Bach Long Vy island , to design and build a passenger vessel, K003 project for People’s committee of Bach Long Vy island of Hai Phong city. The ceremony was attended by Bach Dang shipyard management team and Vinashin management people.

This vessel is powered by Cummins 2 x 2400HP@1800rpm main engines. The 52 meters vessel will be able to accommodate 250 passengers. The passenger ferry is scheduled to be delivered in 2014.
