MPI Workboats Fleet Grows in Numbers

All four windfarm-support vessels will service the windfarm industry in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

MPI Lucinda and MPI Sampson have been built at the South Boats Shipyard on the Isle of Wight, UK. MPI Napoleon and MPI Snowball were constructed at South East Asia Shipyard (SEAS) in Vietnam. SEAS is part of the PIRIOU Group, headquartered in France. The vessels recently arrived in Le Havre, France, and were delivered to MPI Workboats yesterday.

All vessels are aluminium catamarans constructed to the latest design. They are equipped with 2 x MAN engines and hydrojets, equating to a vessel speed of up to 25 knots, and can transport up to twelve passengers, three crew and two 10-foot containers.

These four new additions bring the fleet total to thirteen vessels. One additional workboat, MPI Trifaldi, will be delivered by South Boats later this spring.
