Factory X51 (Hai Minh Shipbuilding & Repair One Member Co.Ltd.) under Ba Son Corporation of the General Department of Defence Industry on June 25th handed over surveillance ship CSB 6008 to the Vietnam Coast Guard and launched a second one, coded TS 500.
With a length of 38.2m and width of 7.8m, the ship is built with a water displacement of 397.9 tons and the designated speed of 10 nautical miles per hour, and is able to stand level-7 wind speed (Beaufort Scales). The ship operates effectively within a range of 2,000 nautical miles for 30 consecutive days.
After the handover ceremony, the ship was assigned to Coast Guard Region 3.
