Coast Guard receives patrol boats

PANO – Hong Ha Shipbuilding Company under the General Department of Defense Industry on the afternoon of January 22nd held a ceremony to hand over two high-speed TT-400 patrol boats (the 6th and 7th boats) to the Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

These boats are two of the four that the company is building for the Vietnam Coast Guard under the program of the National Assembly’s Resolution 72. Previously, the company built and handed over five other boats of the same kind to the Coast Guard.

With collective efforts of the officials, engineers, and workers, Hong Ha Company has completed the building of the two boats in 13 months after the contract was signed. Previously, each boat took about two years to finish.

A TT-400 boat is 54m long, 9.3m wide, with water displacement of 425 tons. The boat is equipped with modern and uniformed equipment and is capable of operating in wind level 8. The patrol boats will help the Vietnam Coast Guard strengthen law enforcement at sea.
