Strategic Marine on Track with PTAS Marine Project

Incat Crowther today announced the first deliveries of a 10-boat order for 42m Infield Utility Vessels to Brunei’s PTAS Marine.

PTAS has been contracted by Brunei Shell Petroleum to build and operate nine vessels to support their offshore platforms for a period of ten years. Incat Crowther supported Strategic Marine in their technical proposal for the project, committing to a timeframe of just 15 months from contract signing to the delivery of the ninth vessel. The tenth boat will be retained by PTAS as a backup vessel throughout the contract period.

First Vessel Launched for Oman’s National Ferries

Asian shipbuilder Strategic Marine launched the Shanna, the first of two 45-meter ro-pax catamarans to the National Ferries Company of Oman. The vessel is the first of its kind built by Strategic at its Vietnam shipyard, underscoring the operation’s multi-markets shipbuilding capability. The sister vessel, the Jawharat, will deliver at the end of November.

Strategic Marine, a leading specialist shipbuilder in Asia, today announced that Njord Offshore, UK fleet operator of Crew Transfer Vessels for the growing European offshore windfarm sector, has officially confirmed the option for two more high performance crew transfer and service vessels, taking the total order to eight vessels.
